National Grain Trade Policy, 2015

The Government of Uganda considers the grain sub-sector a strategic area in the socio-economic transformation of the country. Creating opportunities along the value chain and encouraging women’s participation in production will help promote the sector’s competitiveness and the economy’s growth. The National Grain Trade Policy envisions a globally competitive grain sub-sector that supports food security, income generation, and industrialization.
